建筑是什麽性质?为谁使用?是一开始就接触的问题，这不是谁都能把握好的…室内设计是建筑设计的延伸和深化，建筑造型、文化品位和用材对设计有很大影响，要把握好统一与对比的关系以形成有机的整体；“设计”就意味着创新，创新是设计的生命…地域文化和物质环境对设计的定位很重要，恰当使用传统建筑符号和地方材料对于形式特点是很有作用的，把握好设计的定位就为创新打下了基础就会有个性而不雷同，再者把握好时代的设计发展方向（新材料、新技术的应用以及环境友好、建筑节能等概念）对于创新也很重要；我赞成“关系与美俱生俱灭”，这句话，室内设计讲究综合功能关系，要把握好界面之间、陈设物之间、陈设物和界面之间的关系，使之形成和谐的有机整体，“美”也具有功能意义，它能调节精神、陶冶人的情操、影响人体的机能…（CIID会长张世礼教授,第8期中国室内设计年刊）
What is the function of the building, who
is going to use it, this is the key issue at the beginning of the design...interior
design is the extension of architecture,the building form, culture taste
and material are important aspects for the design style;Creation is the
spirit of the design, Proper use of traditional building symbols and local
materials are good for forms and creation. in another hand, modern design
trend is important for creation as well(the application of new material
and new technology and the concept of environmental friendly and energy-save
etc.);I agree with that"the beauty comes together with the harmony",
interior design is about the harmony between surfaces and display items.

IV 范思对谈录The Conversation with Masters
范：今天的谈话起源于一幅画，一幅标示着文明的发展轨迹和人类的成熟历程的图画，这幅图以实际的地理位置划分不同区域，注释着不同区域的文明进程，由许多代表不同年轮的同心圆组成，而中心的圆则象征着新的世界秩序，尽管这个新的世界秩序目前如同婴儿般尚在襁褓之中。
周：圆环上的数字表示着不同的年代，公元0年这一环是人为设定的，来自于西方的记载，对于犹太人或是中国人应该会有些相对的位差，这些圆环正如同太阳的光环，红色代表不同的国家，白色线框内代表不同的文明，比如在南美有印加文明和玛雅文明，在中东有拜赞庭文明，欧洲的中世纪文明非常落后所以又细又窄，中国在唐宋时期的文明发达则图示显得宽广而厚实。
桑：一位曾获得诺贝尔文学奖的诗人吉普林，他是和东方对立的，说过：“东方是东方，西方是西方，东方和西方永远不可能结合在一起”，而歌德却说：“无论东方，无论西方，我们都要结合在一起就象兄弟姐妹一样”，为什麽比较文学，世界文学能够遵从歌德的思想，我认为从人类学的角度来看，歌德要比吉普林伟大的多

himself exactly into places where his intentions will come alive. For
him, this is the work of new encounters and discovery in Japan where there
are bases of his activities.
