问：什么是传统四合院应当保留的元素？
答: 北京四合院，历史悠久、特色浓重，作为北京传统的住宅形式闻名中外,是中国珍贵的民族文化遗产。北京的四合院有大、中、小三种不同规格，均按古代“前朝后寝”的礼制进行布局。四合院的装修、雕饰、彩绘处处体现着民俗民风和传统文化，表现了一定历史条件下人们对幸福、美好、富裕、吉祥的追求。四合院还种有树木、花草、环境优雅宜人。 对于传统四合院来说我们认为比例，尺度，和整片的街区需要共同保护. 北京对胡同和四合院的改造和保护可以借鉴日本奈良的做法，在奈良木造屋中居住的人，生活很不方便，在老街的两侧，有很多很窄而进深很深的住宅，里面很黑而且不通风，道路很窄汽车不能进入，更不能穿过。但里面的居民因自己能住在人类文化遗产中而感到自豪，他们只是逐渐地在老房子里做一些小的修缮来改进生活条件，比如设计放置空调，安装抽水马桶，添加电器等等。所以北京的历史文化保护区保存下来，同时内部加上一些现代化生活设施也是完全有可能的。

Question:What are the factors to be protected in a traditional Courtyard House?
Answer:The courtyard houses in Beijing have a long history, and they are traditional residential compounds with houses around courtyards. There are three kinds of courtyard house:large, medium, and small. All of them were built in accordance with a strict set of rules,from their size and style one could tell whether they belonged to private individuals or the powerful and the rich. The fittings, decorations and paintings in the courtyard houses display the local customs and traditional culture and people's wish for happiness, beauty, well-being, and good luck.Beijingnese like to grow trees and flowers in their courtyards,making their home lovely and pleasant. As for a traditional Courtyard House protection, the scale, dimention and the whole district should be protected all together.

Organizer: Babel is a meeting point of contemporary culture currents. Having as its nucleus the monthly comics magazine. Its activities intend from publishing comics and other art books to organizing exhibitions with a focus on the expression and evolution of young creativity. 13 唔对材质---中国岩彩绘画邀请展

岩彩画源自中国敦煌壁画，当时地中海文明、波斯文明、印度文明和中原文明伴随着经济的繁荣，在西域敦煌发生了第一次碰撞和交融，产生了敦煌壁画，是一种开放和多元的象征。今天随着奥运和经济全球化的影响，岩彩画的复兴启示我们再现当年丝绸之路上的繁华，我们相信沿着当年的路线回顾和展望一定能让已经濒于失传的岩彩技艺重新恢复和兴盛，同时探索使用岩彩的语言在东方和西方之间进行沟通和交流，让岩彩这种材质因着其自然性和永恒性的属性成为贯穿于各种不同的文化之间的线索，最终在多元文化的浪潮中沉淀出经典的作品来。(张小鹭)
岩彩画的诞生标志着在中国一个新的价值观的产生，既不是纯中国的价值观，也不是纯西方的价值观，而是一种现代形态的价值观，这是十分重要的。(张晓凌)
“岩彩”的价值远不在其物质的属性上，它的价值实现应该是文化上的实现，支配每一个画家在材料语言上的作为，是从事艺术的文化情怀，在艺术多元化发展的今天提倡在岩彩领域的创造不是退回狭隘的材料语言轨道，而是试图找到表达与表现新的出发点，为此需要岩彩的运用中提升包括观念在内的绘画的文化含量，使这种媒材导引画家通往富有生机的创造之路。(范迪安)

一只蝴蝶在长安城里扇动翅膀，却在万里之外的欧洲掀起一场翻天覆地的风暴。尽管汉与罗马没有直接建立联系，但是汉帝国却以一种意想不到的方式彻底改写了罗马历史：汉武帝做出打击匈奴的决策，造成匈奴大规模西迁，带动欧亚大陆大批游牧民族进入欧洲，历时数百年，这些“蛮族”的力量终于摧毁了西罗马帝国。700年后蝴蝶在长安再次扇动翅膀，历史重演：唐太宗决定打击突厥，造成突厥大规模西迁……近千年后，突厥人建立了奥斯曼土耳其帝国，它摧毁了东罗马（拜占廷）帝国，并在几百年间严重威胁欧洲，但这却在客观上促使了近代欧洲在世界上的崛起。

自从张骞在中亚得到有关身毒（印度）的信息之后，中国对印度的兴趣始终没有中断。东汉和帝夜梦金身神人，人说这就是西方的“佛”，于是就有了“白马驮经”的故事和洛阳白马寺的建立，这是传说中佛教入中国之始。人们都知道佛教东传，都知道达摩祖师和玄奘的故事（“印度”这个译名就是玄奘确定的），但是到中国来的不仅仅有佛教，到印度去的也不仅仅有玄奘。例如唐朝使臣王玄策，曾经帮助一位著名的印度国王平息了一场叛乱，他从吐蕃和泥婆罗（尼泊尔）借了兵。到印度的道路也不仅仅是玄奘那样西行翻越葱岭（帕米尔高原）再返身南下，还有穿越大雪山（喜马拉雅山）的道路、从广州乘船下海穿越马六甲海峡的海路……

范：为什么我们需要生态城？
Eero:这个世界正在经历一场环境危机，这在许多方面都有体现。自然资源正在被消耗殆尽，过量的二氧化碳和甲烷气体被排放到大气中，气候正变得越来越暖，海洋也在被污染，可开发的处女地越来越少。 当然这并不新鲜每个人都知道，许多年来我们都很清楚这些事实，这危机影响到所有的国家和大洲，但首先是那些工业化的地区，当然不同的地方有不同的做法，其中一个对于我们较为可信的解释：这问题的核心是由于工业化的产业被短期利益和现有体制的僵化所逼迫--包括技术架构和管理架构。可持续发展的长期的解决办法和便捷但极具污染的短期办法之间确实存在着激烈的冲突。
Teresa:Why do we need an eco-city?
The world is undergoing an environmental crisis, which manifests itself in various ways. Natural resources are being exhausted, excessive amounts of carbon dioxide and methane are being released into the atmosphere, the climate is warming, oceans are being polluted and there is less and less virgin land available. This is not new. Everyone here knows these things. We have been aware of these facts for several decades. This crisis affects all countries and continents, but primarily those that are industrialized.While different parties have proposed several solutions, one that is credible has eluded us. The core of the problem is that the industrialised world is constrained by too short-sighted interests and the rigidity of the existing infrastructure. This includes both technical and administrative structures. Sustainable long-term solutions and short-term solutions that are convenient yet wasteful and polluting are in mutual conflict.

意大利建筑师, 代表作品:利玛窦故居文物修复
1583年利玛窦来到肇庆开始在中国建造第一个欧式风格的住宅。今天我开始研究这个房子的虚拟修复和重建，这一研究将会给由那些充满争议的资料而得出的困难的结论带来一线曙光，为了告诉所有的欧洲人和中国人那段被遗忘的历史开辟了学术研究的新路径。

In the year 1583 Matteo Ricci entered Zhaoqing and built the first European style house in China. Today I have started the study of making the virtual reconstruction of this house and then the virtual reconstruction. 在水一方会所(设计师邓俊生）Zaishui Yifang Leisure Club(By Welson Deng)
设计师运用建筑手法来营造自然景色的轮廓，在主题的表现上将蕴涵着意义的装饰元素贯穿在空间之中。设计师运用“圆”作为主题，对该俱乐部强调“泡泡”的休闲，利用马赛克、不锈钢、石材等材质将“圆”的符号进行反复地扩展和重新编排，选用柔和的点光源运用较柔和的灯光设计，这样的环境赋予整个空间一种豪华感，使顾客在轻松愉悦的心情下体会休闲俱乐部的细微服务。大堂及共享空间运用洞石的高雅色调使整体气氛得到渲染。
The designer builds an outline of the natural scenery by architectural technique. In subject performance, the design implicates the decorative elements through the whole space. The designer take a circle as the subject, emphasizes the bubble leisure of the club, and repeatedly extended and rearranged the mark of a circle by using mosaic, stainless steel, stone material and so on. The designer selects a gentle lighting source, and utilizes a quite temperate light design. Such an environment entrusts the entire space with a luxurious feeling, which lets the customer to realize the wonderful service of the club under a relaxed joyful mood. The designer takes travertine’s elegance tinge for the lobby and the sharing space, which romances the whole atmosphere.

答: 北京四合院，历史悠久、特色浓重，作为北京传统的住宅形式闻名中外,是中国珍贵的民族文化遗产。北京的四合院有大、中、小三种不同规格，均按古代“前朝后寝”的礼制进行布局。四合院的装修、雕饰、彩绘处处体现着民俗民风和传统文化，表现了一定历史条件下人们对幸福、美好、富裕、吉祥的追求。四合院还种有树木、花草、环境优雅宜人。 对于传统四合院来说我们认为比例，尺度，和整片的街区需要共同保护. 北京对胡同和四合院的改造和保护可以借鉴日本奈良的做法，在奈良木造屋中居住的人，生活很不方便，在老街的两侧，有很多很窄而进深很深的住宅，里面很黑而且不通风，道路很窄汽车不能进入，更不能穿过。但里面的居民因自己能住在人类文化遗产中而感到自豪，他们只是逐渐地在老房子里做一些小的修缮来改进生活条件，比如设计放置空调，安装抽水马桶，添加电器等等。所以北京的历史文化保护区保存下来，同时内部加上一些现代化生活设施也是完全有可能的。

岩彩画的诞生标志着在中国一个新的价值观的产生，既不是纯中国的价值观，也不是纯西方的价值观，而是一种现代形态的价值观，这是十分重要的。(张晓凌)
“岩彩”的价值远不在其物质的属性上，它的价值实现应该是文化上的实现，支配每一个画家在材料语言上的作为，是从事艺术的文化情怀，在艺术多元化发展的今天提倡在岩彩领域的创造不是退回狭隘的材料语言轨道，而是试图找到表达与表现新的出发点，为此需要岩彩的运用中提升包括观念在内的绘画的文化含量，使这种媒材导引画家通往富有生机的创造之路。(范迪安)

自从张骞在中亚得到有关身毒（印度）的信息之后，中国对印度的兴趣始终没有中断。东汉和帝夜梦金身神人，人说这就是西方的“佛”，于是就有了“白马驮经”的故事和洛阳白马寺的建立，这是传说中佛教入中国之始。人们都知道佛教东传，都知道达摩祖师和玄奘的故事（“印度”这个译名就是玄奘确定的），但是到中国来的不仅仅有佛教，到印度去的也不仅仅有玄奘。例如唐朝使臣王玄策，曾经帮助一位著名的印度国王平息了一场叛乱，他从吐蕃和泥婆罗（尼泊尔）借了兵。到印度的道路也不仅仅是玄奘那样西行翻越葱岭（帕米尔高原）再返身南下，还有穿越大雪山（喜马拉雅山）的道路、从广州乘船下海穿越马六甲海峡的海路……

范：为什么我们需要生态城？
Eero:这个世界正在经历一场环境危机，这在许多方面都有体现。自然资源正在被消耗殆尽，过量的二氧化碳和甲烷气体被排放到大气中，气候正变得越来越暖，海洋也在被污染，可开发的处女地越来越少。 当然这并不新鲜每个人都知道，许多年来我们都很清楚这些事实，这危机影响到所有的国家和大洲，但首先是那些工业化的地区，当然不同的地方有不同的做法，其中一个对于我们较为可信的解释：这问题的核心是由于工业化的产业被短期利益和现有体制的僵化所逼迫--包括技术架构和管理架构。可持续发展的长期的解决办法和便捷但极具污染的短期办法之间确实存在着激烈的冲突。
Teresa:Why do we need an eco-city?
The world is undergoing an environmental crisis, which manifests itself in various ways. Natural resources are being exhausted, excessive amounts of carbon dioxide and methane are being released into the atmosphere, the climate is warming, oceans are being polluted and there is less and less virgin land available. This is not new. Everyone here knows these things. We have been aware of these facts for several decades. This crisis affects all countries and continents, but primarily those that are industrialized.While different parties have proposed several solutions, one that is credible has eluded us. The core of the problem is that the industrialised world is constrained by too short-sighted interests and the rigidity of the existing infrastructure. This includes both technical and administrative structures. Sustainable long-term solutions and short-term solutions that are convenient yet wasteful and polluting are in mutual conflict.

1583年利玛窦来到肇庆开始在中国建造第一个欧式风格的住宅。今天我开始研究这个房子的虚拟修复和重建，这一研究将会给由那些充满争议的资料而得出的困难的结论带来一线曙光，为了告诉所有的欧洲人和中国人那段被遗忘的历史开辟了学术研究的新路径。

In the year 1583 Matteo Ricci entered Zhaoqing and built the first European style house in China. Today I have started the study of making the virtual reconstruction of this house and then the virtual reconstruction. 设计师运用建筑手法来营造自然景色的轮廓，在主题的表现上将蕴涵着意义的装饰元素贯穿在空间之中。设计师运用“圆”作为主题，对该俱乐部强调“泡泡”的休闲，利用马赛克、不锈钢、石材等材质将“圆”的符号进行反复地扩展和重新编排，选用柔和的点光源运用较柔和的灯光设计，这样的环境赋予整个空间一种豪华感，使顾客在轻松愉悦的心情下体会休闲俱乐部的细微服务。大堂及共享空间运用洞石的高雅色调使整体气氛得到渲染。
The designer builds an outline of the natural scenery by architectural technique. In subject performance, the design implicates the decorative elements through the whole space. The designer take a circle as the subject, emphasizes the bubble leisure of the club, and repeatedly extended and rearranged the mark of a circle by using mosaic, stainless steel, stone material and so on. The designer selects a gentle lighting source, and utilizes a quite temperate light design. Such an environment entrusts the entire space with a luxurious feeling, which lets the customer to realize the wonderful service of the club under a relaxed joyful mood. The designer takes travertine’s elegance tinge for the lobby and the sharing space, which romances the whole atmosphere.
